Summary
Published in Official Bulletin No. 4225 of 20 October 1993 and consolidated to 24 February 2025, the decree first organises the traineeship: the candidate files a two-copy application with the National Council, which appoints the supervising architect within a month from a yearly list published in the Official Bulletin; a standard three-copy contract is signed and the supervisor's reasoned report leads to the traineeship certificate or a one-year extension (articles 1 to 7). The licence to practise privately is granted by the Secretary General of the Government after the opinions of the urban-planning authority and the National Council, on an application filed with the prefecture or province, which forwards it within fifteen days; licences are published in the Official Bulletin (articles 10 to 13). Article 21, amended seven times since 2001, lists the seats and districts of the thirteen regional councils. Articles 22 to 24 organise architectural assistance, and article 27 entrusts the final withdrawal of a licence to the Secretary General of the Government.
